He was a veterans and served in the army. He received his purple heart when he was honorably discharged.

A visitation for Whit will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511, followed by a funeral service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
