

A decorated Marine officer for 27 years, Willard also served as the Director of Operations for Operation Blessing, the benevolence arm of the Christian Broadcasting Network. In this role, he played a vital part in feeding people and caring for those in crisis or need. Following this, he dedicated 23 more years as a civilian with the Department of Defense, proudly serving his nation for a total of 50 years. His deep commitment to his country and his steadfast faith in Jesus Christ were the foundations of his life.
Willard was a proud father of four sons, all of whom are ordained pastors. He championed and encouraged them throughout their years of ministry, finding great joy in their service to the Lord.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, who faithfully stood by his side throughout his journey. Willard’s memory will be cherished by his large and devoted family.
A celebration of life for Willard will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2024 at South Bay Church, 13498 US Highway 301 South, Riverview, Florida. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to SeaGlass Church, reflecting his lifelong commitment to faith and service.
