

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ken in his 92nd year, at the Brantford General Hospital on July 9, 2017. Devoted Husband of the late Marilyn, beloved Father of Mark (Dana) of Arizona and Carol (Kevin) of Brantford, Grandfather of Joshua Brewer of Hamilton and Neil Baxter-Ziemann (Sophie) of the UK. He will be sadly missed by his brother-in-law Edwin (Barb) Pass as well as many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents Rev. PPW and Elizabeth “Betty” Ziemann. A McMaster graduate, a WWII veteran, an accomplished (old-school-honest) business man, Ken had successful careers with : Goodrich, Siberling and Firestone Tire, Beatty Brothers, Montreal Star and was the proprietor of AAMCO Transmissions (Hamilton) before entering into Real Estate as a sales agent, teacher and appraiser. Upon retiring in 1996 he and his beloved spent several years RVing fulltime covering most of the U.S. and wintering in Quartz-Site, AZ. An avid athlete, he was involved in football (McMaster Marauders), curling, skiing, tennis and sailing and recently had taken up Tai Chi. He was a member of the Canadian Legion and several other organizations. He was a true gentleman and will always be remembered for his grace, generosity and kindness. Thank you to doctors Grabner and Butt and all of the staff at Brantford General Hospital for their care and compassion. As per Ken’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of Ken’s amazing life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to your favourite charity would be appreciated.
