It is with heavy hearts that Donna’s family announces her passing after a brief yet courageous battle with cancer at the Brantford General Hospital on Sunday, May 19, 2013 in her 71st year. Beloved wife of Kazimierz and devoted mother to Wesley and his wife Tracy. Donna is predeceased by her parents Walenty and Wiktoria (Chmiel) Szelgia. She will be missed by her immediate and extended family in Poland, Italy and the United States as well as her many friends, neighbours and extended family at Tim Hortons.
Friends will be received at “THORPE BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL”, 96 West Street, on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm., Parish Prayers will take place at 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 235 Brant Avenue, Brantford. Father Adam Wroblewicz will officiate. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Brantford. Donations may be made in Donna’s memory to the Tim Horton’s Children’s Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
