Suddenly at the Brantford General Hospital on Friday January 20, 2012. Loving husband and best friend to Eleanor. Brother to Dale, predeceased by his sister Dot. Predeceased by his first wife Marjorie and father of Brad, Susan (Frank) and Cameron (Linda). Predeceased by his second wife Mary and stepfather to Mike (Diane), Gary (Vonnie) and Ron (Christie). Stepfather to Eleanor’s children, Allen (Lorie), Donna (Andy), Debbie (Gerry) and Suzie (Darryl). Grandfather to many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Floyd retired from Nova Chemicals in Sarnia and spent numerous winters in Florida. His leisure time was spent with friends and his huge family or baby sitting the families pets. He was a true champion of his grandchildren’s endeavors and loved to celebrate their accomplishments. This family will miss their head cheer leader.

The family will receive friends at the “Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home and Chapel”, 96 West Street on Thursday January 26th from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon. Memorial Service in the chapel at 12:00 noon. Cremation has taken place. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the S.P.C.A. would be appreciated.
