Passed away peacefully at the BGH Palliative Care, on April 22nd, 2018, in his 90th year.
Survived by his beloved wife, Linda Helm, daughter Linda Francis (Sandy) of Nanaimo, B.C., son Ken Mitchell (Cathy) of Brantford, and step-father of Mike Medlar (Susy), and Dianna (Lee Chandler), grandfather of Brandon (Katie) of Orillia, Lindsay (Paul Weber) of Bright, Katie (Brett Gilliam) of St. Catharines, great-grandfather to Jackson and Carter, step-grandfather to Brenden, Mikayla, Lucas and Logan. Brother of Marilyn Rohrer, brother-in-law to Fred and Eleanor Roussel. Predeceased by his parents, Carl and Florence Mitchell, and siblings Harvey, Beverly, Joyce, and Betty. Former employee as a foreman of Silverwood’s Dairy and Massey Ferguson. Harold will be best remembered for being a helpful neighbour and friend, his love of horseshoes, bowling, baseball, the casino, bingo and his morning coffee with the boys. His time at the trailer, his ability to fix anything and being a great dancer.
A Celebration of Harold’s Life will take place at the “THORPE BROTHERS CARRIAGE HOUSE”, 96 West St., on Saturday, May 5th, 2018 from 1pm-3pm. As per Harold’s wishes cremation has taken place.
