I was so sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing.    I extend my heartfelt sympathy to all the family; may your many great memories of Jimmy sustain you at this difficult time.
He was a great, friend and we had so many good times in the 1970's.   He had such a big heart and was so kind, thoughtful and generous.   I recall our many, many trips and memories of all the fun we had together.
• He and I arranged the legendary Grade 13 trip to Goderich; I will never forget Jimmy personally picking out all the steaks at the little butcher shop at the corner of St. George Street and Sydenham....anyone who was on that trip will never forget "the shaver".
• The fun we had on the trip to Halifax in September 1974 - he and I and the "two Sidneys". Walking across the bridge in St. Leonard NB to the US so we could see Jimmy's beloved Pittsburgh Steelers  on TV.
• Our many summer trips to Montreal and especially the one when Jimmy went to Blue Bonnets Raceway and bet a horse named Aldershot and won over $500!  That was a lot of money in 1975!
• How can we ever forget all the joy  Hard Luck Acres brought to Jimmy and the rest of us.  Our many trips to see him race with the "Uncle" as Jimmy called his uncle Mike King.  I will never forget  August 17, 1977 when we beat Armbro Trudy driven by Joe O'Brien. The picture hangs above my computer as I type this.   Jimmy's generosity and love of his friends was on full display that night. There are so many stories from the Hard Luck Acres years that I can't share here!
• The summer of 1978 and our many trips to the cottage at Sauble Beach.   Who could forget when  Jimmy broke his ankle stepping on a baseball;  he was so tough - we drove all the way back to Brantford before he would go to a hospital.
I moved away from Brantford in the 1980's, but every time I saw him he greeted me with a big hug and it was always so good to see him.    You were a good man Jimmy MacMullen; Rest in Peace, my friend.
