Maria Fatima Stone, 69, went to be with the Lord February 2nd, 2018 after a courageous fight against cancer. Cancer may have taken her life, but cancer did not beat her. It did not have a chance. Maria was a brave, kind and generous person who greatly helped her family and friends at any given moment. She faced many adversities in her life but always strived forward for the benefit of her children. She has left a lasting impression on all of us. She is survived by her daughter Sandra (Mark) Bell, son Philip (Catherine) Stone and 6 amazing grandsons Andrew, Matthew and Evan Bell and Noah, Zach and Liam Stone. The family will receive friends at the “THORPE BROTHERS’ FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL”, 96 West St., on Wednesday, February 7th from 9am-1030am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Basil’s Roman Catholic Church, 50 Palace Street, at 11am.
