Mary Kotiuk

Peacefully, at Hardy Terrace Long Term Care on January 2nd, 2017 in her 101st year. Predeceased by her husband Jerry (1996), son Steve (2009) and his wife Mary (1992). Loving mother of Irene (Bob) Romaniuk, and Walter (Lee). Baba to Steven Jr. and family, Jerry (Tammy) and family, Jamie (Sherry) and family, Danny (Amanda) and family, Bobby Jr. (Doreen) and family, Lisa Romaniuk, Sonia (Ross) Fraser and Cassie (Ben) and mother-in-law to Nola. Born in the Ukraine, Mary immigrated to Canada in 1948. She loved to farm, garden, attend church and enjoyed the company of her grandchildren. Mary was a lifetime member of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of St. John and a member of the Sunflowers. The family will receive friends at the “THORPE BROTHERS’ FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL” 96 West St., on Wednesday, January 4th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Panakhyda at 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of St. John, 100 Terrace Hill St., on Thursday, January 5th at 10am. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
