Patricia Anne Telfer

Beloved wife of the late Robert Telfer for sixty-five years. She was predeceased by parents Patrick O’Connor and Elizabeth O’Connor (McKeon). Much loved mother of Christine, Sandra and Patrick (Leslie) who cared for her with strength and love to the end, helping her to realize her final wish to die at home. Adored grandmother of Meghan and Erin. Cherished sister of Joan Butcher, Maggie Leitenberger, Michele O’Connor (Don Connolly), the late Mary Balsdon and brother-in-law Jim Telfer (Pat). She also leaves many loving friends, nieces and nephews.

Pat was a devoted mother and wife, a spectacular and caring sister, a woman of integrity, intelligence and culture with an incredible spirit and strong, informed opinions. The matriarch of our family in every sense of the word, she was always looking out for all of us. We are so grateful for her stewardship. A very special thank-you to the Victorian Order of Nurses, the Personal Support Workers from Bayshore Home Care Solutions and the Hospice Outreach Team for their exceptional care during her final days at home. Pat (Patsy to family) will be deeply missed and always loved.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home. A private visitation for family and close friends is being held on Tuesday with a funeral mass to follow at St. Basil Parish. Pat will be laid to rest at Burford Pioneer Cemetery where she will join Bob, whom she lost less than a year ago. If desired, donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Lifecare Foundation or the Victorian Order of Nurses.
