It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosanna “Rockin’ Rosey” Tamilia. Born October 15th, 1967 our beloved “Rosey” rocked this world for 53 love filled years and passed away peacefully in her bed on April 20th, 2020…We think she’d like the idea of that date being her last.
You see, the most admirable quality our Rosey possessed was her ability to find the light in even the darkest of situations. No matter what the world faced her with, she was a “stand up guy” and “shot from the hip.” She was never one to back down from a challenge, fearless in her compassion for others and confident in her ability to overcome it all. She laughed often and LOUDLY! She loved freely, without prejudice. “Mama Rosey” filled the cups of others to overflowing and expected nothing in return.
To know Rosey was to know love. Her zest for life inspired passion in all who were lucky enough to meet her. A respected member of our small community, she donated her time and talents to many charity efforts, both Local and National. She was known and loved for her unique ability to make friends anywhere and everywhere, sharing and uplifting others in a way only our Rose could. She loved the outdoors and could often be found in her garden, amidst her flowers, enjoying the sun.
Rosey had much to be proud of but above all else, she cherished her Family.
Our Mother (and Resident Epic Legend) will be missed by Daughter Jazmyn Reed (Ron Michaels), Son, Patrick Tamilia and Grandchildren, Drako Ball, Adara Ball & Charlize Michaels.
She is survived by her beloved Parents, Gino Orazio Tamilia and Evelyn Tamilia, doting sister, Sylvia Tamilia and loving brothers Tony Tamilia and Frank Tamilia and nephew, Rob Tamilia. Her memory will live on through her great niece & nephew, many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends who became family over the years.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, there will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date to be announced on social media. We will dance and reminisce as the music Rosanna so loved fills the air and toast this magnificent woman one last time, together.
Our Rosey was a lot of wonderful things in one bold, beautiful package. She touched the lives of many who will never forget her and the world will be a shade less vibrant without her. Thank you for being you Mom, may you rest in peace.
