It is deep sorrow that we announce the passing of William [Bill] Alexander Balazs in his 92nd year [1934-2026]. Bill passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Brantford General Hospital on February 3, 2026. Bill is predeceased by his wife Margaret Doreen [Barkley] Balazs, sister Mary [Balazs] Miller and brothers Joseph and Frank Balazs. Bill is survived by his children Carrie [Lary], Bill [Natasha], Ron [Cindy] and his stepson Thom [Jane]. Bill was a beloved grandfather to Shannon, Sarah, Emily, Zach, Olivia, Jenna, Andrew, Shaun and a great grandfather to Kaiden, Carson and Carter. Bill worked at Barber Ellis [Innova] until he retired at the age of 60. Bill loved tinkering in his garden, woodworking, was very mechanical and thoroughly enjoyed an ice cold beer or two with his friend Dave Perrett or anyone else who would sit and have a beer with him. Bill will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held later in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Lung Association.
