August 12,1937 – February 14, 2025
Allan Lloyd Limbocker, 87, of Port Orchard, WA, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025, of lung cancer. He was born on August 12,1937, in Spokane, WA, to Ralph and Pearl Limbocker. The family moved to Port Orchard in 1943.
Allan graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1956. He served in the National Guard for nine years. He married Karen Frank in 1960, and they had one son, Craig. Allan married Patsy Spore in 1971, and they lived in Yakima, WA, where he worked as a printer at Shields Bag and Printing for 34 years. Retiring in 1999, they moved to Ocean Shores, WA, but wanted to be close to family and friends and moved back to Port Orchard in 2002.
In his spare time, Allan had a passion for building and fixing things. He could fix pretty much anything. He learned woodworking via trial and error, and in 1984 was named second-place winner of the Golden Hammer Award by Mechanix Illustrated magazine for a miniature China cabinet he built for his wife. Another building achievement was constructing a “water wheel” on the side of the pond of their Port Orchard home. The August 2005 completion party was featured in the Kitsap Sun. Other hobbies and interests included golfing, collecting antiques, gardening, growing flowers (begonias, tree peonies and geraniums were his favorites), and working in his shop.
Allan was predeceased by his parents and his sister Lois Roark. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patsy, his children Craig (Jamie) Limbocker, Vicki (Greg) Pelton, Tami Spore and David Spore. Also, his sisters Linda (Frank) Cortez and Gloria Reems. He has three beloved granddaughters, Keri (Matt Williams) Pelton, Becky (Jeff) Menday and Claire Spore and one great-grandson. Allan also has a large and loving extended family and many friends.
He will be deeply missed, and remembered for his creativity, work ethic, and wit and sense of humor to the end.
A celebration of Allan’s life will be held on March 14, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 5505 Kitsap Way, Bremerton WA, 98312. To honor his memory, consider planting flowers in your yard.
