Araceli Flores Fu, known to most as Auntie Cely, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, in Silverdale, Washington, at St. Michael’s Medical Hospital. She was 83 years old. A longtime resident of Bremerton, Washington. Araceli lived a life marked by generosity, devotion, and quiet strength.
Born on July 2, 1942, in Basud, Camarines Norte, Philippines. Araceli was the eldest child of Catalino Flores and Rufina Andrada. She grew up helping raise her siblings— Eledelia “Delia“, Roberto “Bobby”, Froilan, Imelda, Estrella “Nanette”, Federico “Ding” and Cecilia —each of whom helped shape the warm, compassionate woman she became.
In her early years, Araceli worked as a Sales Clerk at Subic Bay when it was still a U.S. Military Base. Though she was proud of her work, the greatest part of her life was spent as a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She married Harvey Fu on November 10, 1977, in Cabangan, Zambales, Philippines, beginning a partnership built on love and resilience. Together they welcomed their son, Randall, on January 17, 1979, and later their daughter, Krystal, on June 21,1989—children who became the center of her world.
Araceli had a natural gift for caring for others. She loved to travel, and she had a special way of making people feel seen, supported, and welcomed. Her kindness was effortless, her generosity abundant. Her smile lit up every room she entered, and her gentle beauty— inside and out—left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She dedicated her life to her children, always doing everything she could to support them, guide them, and love them unconditionally.
She is survived by her children, Randall Fu and Krystal Fu‐Billings, who will forever carry her love and lessons with them. Araceli is preceded in death by her parents, Catalino and Rufina Flores; her beloved husband, Harvey Fu; and her siblings Estrella and Froilan Flores and Delia (Eledelia) Emerick.
A visitation and memorial service will be held on December 29, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Miller‐Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, located at 5505 Kitsap Way, Bremerton, WA 98312. Interment will take place at a later date.
