Mary Theresa Haley

Dear Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that I share with you that my dear wife and friend Mary Haley was called to her eternal rest at 3:28 on the morning of 14 Dec 2022 with me by her side, at home in Bremerton, Washington.

Born 14 Jul 1948 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she spent her childhood on the family farm in Pleasant Plain, Ohio.

Preceded in death by her parents John P. Pelosi and Etta W. Oren, sister Bea Clyma, brothers Michael, Joseph, Daniel and her son Ivan Haley.

She is survived by her children Gloria Van Cleave, Adam, Lisa, David, Steven Curtis and her husband Paul of 48 years. She is also survived by her sisters Jean Miller of South Lebanon, Ohio and Angie Pelosi of Brentwood, Tennessee.

Mary was an extremely caring and devoted mother and wife. Her family and Children were her number one concern. She loved to work in her garden, cooking and making quilts. Mary was a very giving person with a special place in her heart for children. She saw a need and made 100 baby quilts for Seattle Childrens Hospital, so mothers could comfort their babies. With her passion for sewing, she was a member of Peace Lutheran Ladies Quilting group and enjoyed her time making quilts to be donated to people in need.

Even during her thirteen year long fight with cancer, she never gave up or stopped giving of herself to family or others.
