Norman Neeley Sims was born July 12, 1929 as the second child of Neeley and Beulah Sims in Dalworth Park, Texas. He passed to his rest on Sunday, April 3, 2022 in Bremerton, Washington. He lived over 92 eventful years and now awaits the return of his Lord and an earth made new. His parents and his sister Eline preceded him.
He is survived by his wife Clydell. They were married 71 years. Also surviving are his daughter Sherry Sims-Kinney and son David Sims and his wife Tamara. His grandchildren include Christopher Kinney and his wife Amy, Dylan, and step-grandchildren Jared Tiner and Larissa and her husband Phil, and great-grandchildren Eli and Addison Kinney.
Norman was a master builder and built dozens of custom homes in California and Oklahoma. Later he became a farmer in Ketchum, Oklahoma with a farm near his father's. Above all he was a builder of Christian character which was revealed in the way he treated others in all his business dealings, and in the love he showed for his family and church.
A memorial service was held at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home in Bremerton, Washington on April 15th
