September 14, 1954 – March 23, 2026
Stan was born in Bremerton, the eldest of five to Ralph Kirk and Virginia Ricker (formerly Kirk nee McCormick).
After graduating from West High, he headed to California before enlisting in the Army. With his military service completed and behind him, Stan came home to Bremerton, met the forever love of his life, Becky Littlejohn, and went to work at NUWC Division Keyport where he built a dedicated career before retiring in 2016. Stan and Becky were married for 47 years, raised two beautiful children, and built a life rooted in the place he had always called home.
Stan’s years as a Boy Scout left a lasting impression, kindling a love of being outdoors in the Pacific Northwest. That love carried him into hunting, fishing, and SCUBA diving across the region. But when his children came along, the mountains and the water quietly gave way to something better. Weekends in the Olympics became weekends at peewee games and home, and Stan wouldn't have had it any other way. At the center of his life was a family; close, steady, and united under a shared devotion to the Mariners and Seahawks.
Stan was easy to spot in a crowd, not because he was ostentatious, but because of a wizard‐like beard that was unmistakably his. Dependable, thoughtful, and quietly kind, he was the rock his family and friends never had to question.
His memories live on through his wife Becky; son Ian; daughter Ashley; grandson Everette; and four siblings, Thomas (MinJoung), William (Liane), Daniel, and Lisa.
A celebration of a life well‐lived is pending.
