Stephen William Brinkley was born on September 4, 1942 to Willis and Ritta Brinkley in Fall River, Mass. He was one of five children: three brothers - Willis, Denny and Kenny; and a sister - Connie. At the age of 18, Steve joined the United States Army, serving a year then enlisting into the United States Air Force where he served 4 years and 5 months.
In 1962 he married Angel Clapper and together they had 6 children: David, Steve, Denise, Tim, Tom and Drema. They were married for 20 years. Within that 20 years, Steve was a "Jack Of All Trades": working in corporate offices; establishing and caretaking of a Zoo; being an EMT; promoting and exhibiting gun shows and sales . . . and many more in between.
On December 4, 1982 he married Karin Espinosa and together they had 2 children: Chad and Cecille Marie (who was with us only a short time). He was married to Karin until her death on April 7, 2011.
Steve moved back to the Pacific Northwest in 2010 to be with the majority of his children already residing here. He lived in Port Orchard where he died peacefully in his home on September 26, 2014 at 8:00 AM at 72 years old.
He leaves behind 2 brothers, 1 sister, 7 children, 21 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and many friends of all ages. He was dearly loved and will be truly missed and definitely missed. Never forgotten, he was a friend and a teacher; a man and a father.
