Auntie Audrey has touched the life of everyone she interacted with in a positve way. She has made us more loving, more kind, more caring, more like Jesus whom she has loved and served all of her life.

May we continue to honor and cherish her legacy, with hope to see her again over in Glory Land. Condolences to her precious children and grandchildren. RIP Auntie.

How can we ever say thank you to Sis Adassa! By thanking her family for sharing her with us but most of all we can be a Adassa, follow in her footsteps, take on some of the responsibilities she did so well, adopt her generosity, take a leaf from her hospitality, her willingness to help and be there for others despite her situations or what she may be going through.
In closing we can never replace Sis Adassa but as we look around, we hope to see her characters in each of us. 
On behalf of our Founder and Overseer Mildred Scott,  Host Pastor Harold Myrie , all the officers and the entire church family we offer our condolences but also wants to remind you that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, as our Sis Adassa chose to do by living for the Lord.

Life in Service of Missionary/Usher/Driver/Friend and Friend!

Sister Adassa as she was affectionately called  joined our church family through water baptism on Feb. 15, 2004 a cold day as she would later recalled the memory. When she joined us , we had no idea the treats and lessons  we were in for. She immediately joins the church ushers and with her previous experiences take charge and became the Head Usher. But been the lead usher did not keep her in place, as she would be all over doing whatsoever she sees needs doing, this did not go unnoticed as she would be ordained Missionary in August 2006. A missionary work never ends, but for this Missionary she went above and beyond helping those near and fa, people known and unknown to her, but who would quickly get to know Sis Adassa. One could call on her at anytime night or day and she would never hesitate to lend  a helping hand or a listening ear.  Who was this woman? In this church some would say she was a mother, a grandma to the kids, for some a sister you can lean on or a driver who knows everywhere you need to o or a fun loving  adventurer who likes to travel and is always on the go. Are you hungry? One could always stop by the kitchen for a cup of tea, a corn beef sandwich  and even some meatballs, but lets nor forget the food or supply mobile, her van, always with somethin to drink, snack on, or even a slipper , jacket or even a scarf, when asked, Is there anything  that you don't keep in this van? at which she would just laugh, the way how only she could. For many our field trips will never be the same the kitchen or our church will never be the same, without Sis Adassa's  generosity or her adventurous personality, to know her was to love her. Was she perfect? She would tell you, " I am not perfect I am just here to help! "How can we say thank you to Sis Adassa! By thanking her family for sharing her with us but most of all we can be a , a Adassa, follow in her footsteps, take on some of the reponsibilitie

Mommy.  Thank you for being there for me. I no your watching over the family. I love you. 

To miss Adessa. one of the kindest and caring people  I have known in my lifetime. there are so many words that I can use to define you,  but I  feel those two two words fit you  best. I know that you are in a better place but it doesn't mean I don't miss you down here on earth... in the flesh. I will  keep  all things sacred that you shared with me  and I will never forget your wonderful presents and you will will not be forgotten because I feel your spirit now.

You were a champion for the cause. Caring for the Elderly, the homeless and so many others...I didn’t even tell you that Kadian took my birthday gift that you bought me in 2017 as soon as I walk through the door🤣....every time I go in her room where it is beautifully displayed I can’t help but to think of you...You truly will be missed.

I have come to know Adessa as a safe  havin for me. When ever I would see her I felt protected... safe. She excepted me as her own and respected me as an individual. My words cannot do her justice and I know...  I cannot reciprocate her love for  me and her grandson my son must go on without her guidance my one regret is that her wishes of me went unfor field something I must live with for the rest of my days she asked to see my mother before her day ends and I failed her. I wanted this to be know to all that loved her. I want you all to know I was planning a day  with her  and my mom that never came to be. I beg the  family's forgiveness. I leave the family with my sadden heart and a promise to be better in the future.

A mother is with us always, first in her lifetime, then forever in our memory.

I remember when she’s come to visit and we’d go shopping and she’d travel with all sorts of goodies , I also remember her being as funny as ever , no dull moment and her riddles that used to stomp the heck out of me lol , she was just an amazing presence to be around , so loving , so kind

Mom Elaine always spoke about her friend Adassa. She always said she was more than just a friend,  Adassa was a Sister. They first met in Jamaica as little children and played together. Years later they would reconnect in America as adults, not even realizing they were playmates from young, until they connected all the dots of childhood memories. It was as if time was never lost from the years of their youth.  Mom Elaine admired the way Adassa always knew how to stand up for herself. In fact Adassa helped build everyone’s confidence, because she did not play when it came to doing what was right. Adassa and Mom Elaine would go on adventures (many a road trip) together, traveling with Adassa’s Family on several occasions, and getting the opportunity to go to different States in America. There travels took them to Louisiana and other places, driving in the wee hours of the night surrounded by darkness and forest, but that didn’t bother Adassa. She was never one to let anyone or anything stop her and her adventurous spirit. She always knew how to make anyone laugh and her laugh could light up a room.  Adassa had a heart of gold and even if she and Mom Elaine didn’t get to speak everyday, when they did catch up, there was never lost time. Adassa was a good person and a dear friend and she cherished her children and her Family. In fact everyone became Family because she regarded everyone. She loved life, she lived life, and her life will continue to be a light to all.
 The times shared from Adassa and Elaine’s childhood days in Yard, reconnecting in America, going from single to married, becoming Mothers, Grandmothers, Great-grandmothers, and Widows, were shared moments. 
The decades shared of friendship, prayer, and laughter, is not goodbye to a  dear Friend, but until we meet again.

Sis Adassa gone but forgotten, such a selfless woman of God. The first time I met Sis Adassa I said what woman looks like my aunt. When I said it to her she said true from that day we click. Sis you will be so miss , I miss hanging out with you after church and driving here and there with Sis Pasty, Sis Cherine and Sis Phillip. I don’t know when we will stop about you. Miss you so much. My name is Althea Burke,  I met Mrs. Adassa many moons ago.  She had a strong love for her children and being in love with Christ!  Not only did Mrs. Adassa have a great love for God, she was always speading the word of Christ making a difference in every life that she touched!   Mrs. Adassa you will truly be missed! Sidyer Adassa was one of the most kindest woman I've ever met.  I remembered one time she gave me a bag of hot peppers to take home and I said to her Sisr.  I don't eat hot peppers; she said here just take it anyway and then I remembered that my husband likes hot peppers and so I was very thankful for her kindness. Her hospitality.  always willing, always sharing, always being there . I love her very much;  a true woman of God; she will be definitely greatly missed and she spent her life here on Earth with meaning and purpose she did the will of God she did what she was called to do and I thank God she's a Pioneer and I love her dearly May her soul rest in peace; love the family God bless you.



Dear Mommy,
 Thank You very much for helping me, guiding and teaching me.  You have been there for me whenever I have needed you, no matter the circumstances.  You have been very supportive of anything that I would bring to your attention.  You helped me during great times and bad times.  Teaching me to be respectful, kind, polite, generous and to love each and every person in the world.  You have made many many sacrifices for me, time after time.  You are such a beautiful person inside and out.  You encourage me to pray and read the bible every single day.  You’ve also told me to go to church each and every Sunday.  I listened, looked and watched how you walked with Jesus Christ and one day I will too.  You gave yourself to Jesus Christ.  I will miss our smiles and laughter together.  I will cherish the great times we had, our trips to the movies, Canada, Ocean City and Virginia Beach and to the all you can eat buffets.  You were a very loving, kind, generous and compassionate person who had love in your heart for everyone!  Helping out the needy and opening doors for whomever needed a place to stay.  Thank You very much for loving me unconditionally.  If I have done anything to hurt or cause pain, if I have made you angry, mad or sad or disappointed you, I truly apologize.  I know that you were a forgiving Mother.  I will apply for my citizenship in 2021.  I was waiting for Donald Trump to leave the White House in order to apply.  Remember when I wet all of my clothes up the day before it was time for me to go to Job Corps.  I apologize for doing that.  I would also like to say Thank You for sending me to Job Corps.  Thank You for installing greatness in me, morals, and values.  You have always and you will always be forever in my heart.  I love you deeply.  I know you are watching over me. You were the embodiment of Love, kindness, and Voluntary Service.

It did not matter how far away the graduation ceremony was if one of us were graduating in the military or otherwise you'd drive across three time zones to come and celebrate with us. That is Love.

You opened your door to and fed the strangers and the most vulnerable amongst us. That is Kindness; your reward is sure Matt 10:42. 

You'd created a care service within our family, church and community then turned around, and volunteered to do that service just so you could take care of us.

We love and miss you, Auntie. Rest up good, you will need your energy. We are going to through you a party when we meet with you in Glory.


I remember when I was 10 years old I met Mrs. Adassa. She was sweet and kind to my sister Shuvetta and myself. She made us feel at home when we came to the house. We use to ask her all the time could move with her. We loved her so much like she our mama. She will be missed.

Happy New Year Grandma! You aren’t with me physically but I most definitely feel your spirit within me. I have so many memories of us together but my favorite ones will always be surprising you after being away for a long time. The sound of your voice through the house, hearing you walk down the steps, and then finally seeing your face wearing a joyful smile. I wish I could relive that moment over and over again. Hug you one more time, sit at the dinner table with you, and listen to your funny stories. I will cherish them forever. I will live in the way you wanted your family to live. Walking with Jesus, forgiving, worry free, and surrounded with love and happiness. I love you so much Grandma, one day soon I’ll hug you again.

Our most memorable moment would have to be the time I called you on the phone and you asked who was this on the phone and I said “it’s me Tatiyana” ,  then you said “oh hey Jazmyne”
, I still laugh to this day about it. We will finish what you started thank you for life, you will forever be in our hearts love you ♥️

Our Sis, Our Usher, Our Friend departed from us. Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
The one who would go above and beyond on a Sunday morning to make sure the people of God have something to eat before they leave church. Her meatballs, Corn beef  sandwiches and rolls will be greatly missed!
Sister Adassa had a generous soul. She was a good-hearted person who truly loved helping others. She never says no and is always ready to go. 
We work together and we have sweet fellowship together. There is no one to replace you my sister! your memories will live on in our hearts forever! May your soul rest in peace!

Ho Adassa  my friend and  my sister  there aren't any words to put to getter ,all I can say you are truly on   amazing person who I can say when I  met you at Wisconsin Ave Nursing home in 1989 for the very first time is like we knew each other for a long time, and we get to know each other family 👪 right now is like a big trunk of my life was taken away, I am not going to  question God he knows your pain so sleep in peace my sister gone but not for gotten ❤💟 you're truly going to be greatly miss. 

Adassa, you will be missed. I was looking forward to spending Christmas with you this year, but God had another plan for you. Take your rest , your memories will live on in our hearts.

I met Sister Adassa back in 2013 through by sister Ann (Sister Myrie).
Adassa is one of the most beautiful soul I have met in a lifetime, she was one who I have connected with without hesitation her warmth friendly smile & personality was so contagious that you would never leave her without catching it & felt welcome.
My last encounter with her was when I visited  in April 2019 we embrace each other, had our little chats & laughter as usual.... little did I know it would be the last time I would enjoyed her company.
Sleep on my friend I know you are in a better place now....you are always in my heart and I cherish every moment we shared since I met you.

Auntie thank you for being a mother to me and a grandmother to my daughter you  touch my  life in many ways you  stand beside me from the day i meet you auntie no one can't fill your space the  day i lose you i lost a mom my life  will  never be the same without you auntie  you are in heaven resting you have done your best i miss you you little granddaughter miss you your name will never stop call in my house you leave your hand and my life  sleep on  auntie  sleep on🙏 

Even though you just left us like that you are still my favorite and I will cherish the memories and all laughter we shared together. I love you and please actually rest while you’re in Heaven, because we all know you’re probably up there up going all over the place. Worst because you don’t have to worry about your knee anymore 😅

SisterAdassa was an amazing woman of God whom i get to spend the last month closer with because she was training me .we have always share laughter and fellowship together. My family and i love her so much .we would  surely miss her but we wil keep her memories alive.my family and i wish her family our deepest condolences and pray god keep all of you strong in faith.
