Alberta J. Ervin

On Sunday, March 29, 2020, Alberta J. Ervin, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 93. Alberta was born on March 11,1927 in Asheville, North Carolina to Texanna and Cleveland Anderson. She received her formative education in North Carolina. She began her Federal Government career in the U.S. Commerce Department, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Alberta was an avid reader, crossword and puzzle enthusiast. She was a benevolent person, who was always wiling to lending a helping hand to others without the need of asking.

She was proceeded in death by her daughters Trisha (Kitty) Ervin, and Pamela Ervin-Jones; and most recently her granddaughter Nalo Ervin-Taylor. She is survived by her sons Frederick Corley, Sr. and Sean Cleveland Ervin. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Candece Dubard, Frederick Corley Jr., Sean Daniel Corley, Tyra Jones, Sean Christopher Ervin, and Robbie Hall. She leaves behind great-grandchildren Starlina, Malika and Odin Corley, Azani, Zarianna and Michan Taylor. She also leaves greats friends Gwen and Gracie, and host of cherished love ones.
