Mrs. Alice Annette Cole, 90 a resident of Hyattsville, passed away quietly at her sons home in Jessup, Maryland on Tuesday September 1st 2020. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth H. Cole. Loving mother of Robert "Kevin" K. Cole and Michael K. Cole; mother in law to Teri Cole and John Geremia; grandmother of Michelle Milner, the late Shelley Cole; Alexis, Jennifer and Dylan Cole. She is also survived by four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Alice Cole also known as "Miss Alice" by friends and coworkers was born in 1929 on a tobacco farm in Upper Marlboro, Md. She attended Upper Marlboro High School, graduating in 1946. Before graduating she was employed by the US Department of Agriculture as a Clerk Stenographer.

In 1948 she married Kenneth H. Cole. They were married 56 years until his death in 2004. They made there home in Hyattsville, and remained there the rest of their lives.

Also in 1948 she started her career in the Dry Cleaning Industry, at Elmers Cleaners formerly on Farragut Street in Hyattsville. Her career spanned 62 years. She reluctantly retired in 2010 at the age of 80.

She spent the last years of her life enjoying what was important to her throughout her life, her family and friends. Services will be private at Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
