Alice Perrie Hopkins, 92, of Cheverly, MD passed away August 11, 2021 at Doctor’s Community Hospital surrounded by family. She was born October 5, 1928 in Prince George's County to Georgeanna (Windsor) and Elmer George Perrie.
She was raised in Croom, MD and graduated from Frederick Sasscer High School in Upper Marlboro. She married Jacque “Jack” Hopkins and was employed with the United States Office of International Affairs for over 40 years and received numerous recognition awards including the Commissioner’s Special Performance Award. Alice enjoyed doing crafts, working on her flower garden, traveling, and spending time with family. She also enjoyed the special friendships she developed with her Cheverly neighbors and her fellow parishioners at Cheverly United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack in 2008. She was also preceded in death by sisters Mabel Vaughn and Doris Smith and brothers Howard "Sonny" Perrie and Edward Perrie She is survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
