

Annette a Christmas gift from God was born to the late Mamie Moore and James Moore. Annette was introduced to Jesus Christ at an early age attending New Southern Rock Baptist Church along with one brother and two sisters.
She was educated in the DC public schools system attending Peabody Elementary, Stuart Junior High, and receiving her High School Diploma from Woodson Adult Evening School in June of 1980. After high school Annette decided to continue her education by studying medical and volunteering at different medical institutes.
Annette enjoyed cooking, watching tv, listening to gospel & soul R&B music, shopping and most importantly spending time with her three grandchildren. Annette had a special loving bond with her grandchildren. Anyone who knew Annette knew she loved her family. She was a beautiful, caring, and straightforward person.
Annette also had a heart for her community. Over the 40 years that Annette resided in the MayFair neighborhood she became apart of the tenant association board, attending meetings and events to help better the community. When it came to the community Annette had no problem in voicing her opinion, contributing, or just giving a helping hand when needed.
Annette was also, a very hard worker, she started working at HECHT’S clothing store back in the 1990's, and in 2007 she accepted a job working with the Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities Administration (MRDDA Total Care). Annette connected well with every client in her care building an unbreakable and lasting bond. Annette retired in 2016 from MRDDA Total Care.
Annette leaves to cherish her memories, one devoted son Michael Moore Sr., and one devoted daughter La’Tonya Moore; three grandchildren: Michael Moore Jr., Khyla Mills, and Major Moore; two sisters: Sharon Moore and Janice Blake; one brother in-law Kenneth Blake Sr.; a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Annette is proceeded in death by her mother and father Mamie Moore and James Moore; two beloved sons Charles Jackson Jr. (Peabo) and Sean Jackson; one brother James Allen Moore Sr.; and one sister in-law Darnyce Moore.
