Brian T. Carter

Brian Tremaine Carter was called home on December 22, 2020. He was born to the late Elijah Carter and Delores Humes on December 15, 1980. He attended Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt where he graduated. Upon graduation from high school at the age of 18, he was employed at Martin Crosswinds in Greenbelt, MD as a waiter. He later acquired a job at Albert S. Glass, Inc. as a glass cutter and installer. Some years later, Brian began working as a contractor for a major Automotive Distribution Corporation until he became disabled. Brian was a delightful, gentle person who loved life and people. No matter where he was, he spread joy and laughter. There was never a dull moment when Brian was in the midst. He loved his family and they meant the world to him. His mother was the joy and love of his life which he never hesitated to let everyone know.

Brian was very close to his Aunt Mary, Aunt Brenda and Grandmother. He constantly told them how much he loved them. Brian had a big heart and loved all his aunts, uncles, and many cousins. He spent most of his time with his best friend Avery, whom at times were inseparable. Brian also spent lots of time with his Cousin Robert.

Brian was preceded in death by his son Little Brian. Their relationship was so special and his love for his son was stronger than anyone could image. The loss of his son was very detrimental to him. There was not a day that went by in which Brian did not talk about his son. Brian is survived by his Mother Delores Humes and Stepfather Steven Humes (whom he affectionally called Dad).

Grandparents are Loretta Hicks and Alberta Humes. Brothers are Patrick Carter and Steven Humes, Jr. Aunts and Uncles: Millie Coleman (Roland); Nzinga Duncan, Liz Martin, Vickie Harris, Gertrude Harris, Shirley Harris, Linda Penn, Brenda Price (Eric), Belva Hill, James Harris (Julie), Charles Hicks (Kyong), Albert Hicks (Melinda), Robert Hicks, Sandra Dones (Cornell), Christina Hicks, Vivian Hicks, Mary Watson (Wilson), Paula Humes, Michael Humes, God brother Karl Anderson, God son Avery Bowden, Jr., a special friend Khadysha Moore and a host of cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Elijah Carter, brother Elijah Maurice Carter and son Brian Elijah Carter.
