On May 24, 1948 Charles Timothy Green was born to John L. Green and Augusta Bernice Price in Washington, D.C. At the time he was the younger brother to Johnnie, Norva, and Tommy. A short time later his younger brothers Ronnie and Terry were born. The youngest child Cheryl then completed the Green household.
"Tim" as he was known by his family was an independent child who would later graduate from Calvin Coolidge High School and then enroll in D.C. Teachers College. Although he would not graduate, he did benefit from his time in D.C. Teachers College because he met and married Ms. Jennifer Massenburg. Charles and Jennifer had a son, Damon, and to support his family Charles left school and eventually became a cadet and then a police officer in the Metropolitan Police Department. Charles continued his career of service by enlisting in the U.S. Army and eventually became a decorated drill instructor in the Army Reserves.
After a distinguished career in the Metropolitan Police Department, Charles retired and later joined the U.S. Marshall Service. Charles and Jennifer did not remain together but Charles was very active in his son's academic and athletic endeavors. Charles was most often the first fan at the games and the last to leave the field. When he was not cheering at sporting events he fancied himself as a "do-it-yourselfer" spending many long years "working" on his fixer-upper home. Fortunately, he met Ms. Alfretta Tyler a woman with both patience and great decorative taste. Eventually Charles and Alfretta were married and had a son, Sean. In June 2013 Charles lost his beloved wife.
In addition to his remaining siblings Johnnie, Norva Jackson, Tommie and his wife Barbara, Ronnie and his wife Maggie, Cheryl and her husband Charles Whitaker, "Tim" is survived by his sons Damon and his wife Jennifer, and Sean. He will also be missed by his beautiful granddaughters Maya, Jada and Reina.
