Charles Richard Williams, affectionately known as Richard, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, in Alexandria, Virginia. Born January 12, 1947, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, he was a devoted son, brother, and friend, remembered for his wisdom, generosity, and unwavering support.
Mr. Williams dedicated his life to education, serving as a teacher and administrator in Washington, D.C., New York, and Maryland. He was a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and earned numerous accolades throughout his distinguished career. His commitment to public service extended beyond the classroom, positively impacting countless students and colleagues.
He is survived by his brothers, Harry Matthew Williams, Jr., Lynn Williams, devoted niece Towanda Moncrease, devoted friend/brother, Byron Elerby, and a host of loving family and friends. His legacy of kindness, service, and love for family will continue to inspire all who knew him.
