Hello Johnson family,

My name is Vanessa Gray. My many years of Government  travels landed me a job assignment in Guyana back in 2014. I met and made several friends while working there. I was always curious about the Culture  and foods. Aby way on my trip home. Claudette, and I met thru a mutual  family member and we hit it off immediately. After I told her I spent time in Guyana 🇬🇾.  We became phone buddies after 1 of my trips to D.C. I met her at the hospital when JoJo, was in Wash H. Center. So we mostly  kept in touch by phone weekly.  She was such a Beautiful Soul. I talked about my garden her in N.C. seding her photos .I chatted with JoJo lifting her spirits while going thru her trials, of chemo
Claudette, was so well versed in Culture.  We could talk about everything! Great conversations  she loved her family her moma. &  JoJo! I'm going to miss her and our conversations after she took ill it was clear our communication  got really scarce when the illness took over. My sincere Condolences  to each of you.  🌹 💐  VGray N.C.

June will be missed but I am grateful for the multiple opportunities I had to connect with my beloved cousin  as we shared in laughter and sometimes tears  about life. To her children, Philip, Gale, Claudette and Joanne, my deepest sympathy. May you be comforted during this season of grief and heartfelt lost. My condolences to the family, Philip, Gail, Joanne, and Claudette. Your  mother was a wonderful person and a friend for the many years, since the first day I met her to the day she passed away. I have lost a good friend. May her soul rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Ms. Johnson while I worked as her daughter's speech therapist. Ms. Claudette was a humble woman who adored her children. I admired her love and care that she showed to Jojo and her late mother. I looked forward to her amazing Guyanese food that she would share with me. Ms. Claudette, take your well deserved rest.
