My dear Bro. Simpson I will never forget our chats in the morning before Sunday services.  You were always so funny but in a serious and meaningful way.  If someone was down, you had had encouraging words to give.  And of course it would be followed by  your piece of peppermint candy.  I’ll never forget your “famous” pound cakes.  When I was sick or  special  holidays were coming up, I knew I would get a pound cake.  You were a faithful and loving husband and if Seresa needed a pin or needle & thread 🪡 for a button  lost or a rip in a dress, you had a mini sewing kit🧵right in your vest pocket.  Impressive!!! So thoughtful.  You were a leader and faithful “steward”  in the church.  Jerry and I will miss you.

My deepest condolences to Seresa Simpson and the Family for your loss.   I will miss Bro. Simpson's smile, fellowship, and presence at Israel, and at social gatherings, it was an honor to know him.  This is a difficult time for me in having lost my partner Gregory Powell on October 6, 2021, Greg adored  Bro. Simpson, who he regarded as a mentor.  I find peace in knowing that two Israel Met CME soldiers are traveling together to eternal life. "Heaven will be welcoming two very super cool and stylish gents".  Peace and Blessings to you all. Courtenay, Danielle and all the family that loved Mr. Simpson you have my deepest condolences and prayers for healing. I remember the last time I got the chance to speak with him during Danielle’s graduation. I recall him being so appreciative of our friendship and support over the years. I share that memory so you always remember that he always put his family first. While he is no longer present with us, his spirit  and love for his family will forever live on. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Love always.
