

Fannie Lucille Hill, 74, was born on July 1, 1948, to Levie S.Hill and Joseph P. Hill in Newberry, SC. Where she was the first born out of all 10 of her siblings. Fannie grew up and attended Gallman High School in Newberry SC, where she fell in love with sports then received her high school diploma. After completing her education She then moved to Washington DC, in 1966 at the age of 18. Where she’s lived and carried on her journey. Fannie was baptized and gave her life to the Lord when she was a child, she knew she wanted to do the Lord work. She was a born again Christian. She then started to fellowship at Le Detroit Baptist in Oxon Hill MD, in the early 80’s where she became a member. Fannie loved serving the Lord. In the early 90’s she started her career at Georgetown University working in accounts payable for over twenty plus years before retiring in August 2014. She was known for her hard work, dedication, and ability to make her colleagues feel valued. God called Fannie home on April 15, 2023, where she lived at in Fort Washington, MD.
Fannie was a loving sister, mother, and grandmother. She had 2 children, Lori and William, and was a mother to many. She was an incredibly devoted mother and took great pride in her children, grandchildren and family.
Fannie enjoyed serving the Lord. cooking, watching movies, and baking. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, But most of all she loved spending time with her little besties Aria and Kai her granddaughters. Her kindness, generosity, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Fannie is survived by children William L. Smith, and Lori V. Washington, and two grandchildren Aria Washington & Kai Keene. She is also survived by her siblings Geneva Neal, Johnny Hill, Charles Shelton, Tony Shelton, and late sisters Bessie Neal, Lessie Hartridge, and Elouise Carter and her brothers Leonard Hill and Joseph Hill. Fannie also leaves several God children, nieces, nephews and host of other family and friends with whom she loved and shared a special relationship with.
