Mr. Jack Boone, Jr. was the first of six children born to the late Mr. Jack Boone, Sr, and Mrs. Louise Givens Boone on February 15, 1931, in South Hampton Virginia. He was educated in the Virginia public schools system and was employed in various positions until he migrated to Washington, DC, where he met and married the late Mrs. Ethel Malone Boone. No children were born from this union. Mr. Boone was employed at the US Postal Service as a transportation expert until his retirement in the late 80’s. He departed this life on June 22, 2018 at 10:52 pm after succumbing to geriatric illnesses at Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C.
He leaves to mourn his passing: one sister, Rosa M. (Willie L.) Sumlar of Orange, New Jersey; a special friend and companion for 30 years, Brenda Dyson of Washington, DC, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
