On Saturday, May 23, 2020, God reached down from his Almighty Throne and fathered into his most precious bosom a crowned princess in the person of Jean Edna Carroll, the youngest child of seven children born to the late Henry and Marguerite E. Carroll
Born on January 23, 1956, in Washington, DC, Jean Carroll, lovingly referred to as “Candy” by family and friends, was educated in the District of Columbia Public Schools. She was a stay at home mother. Jean was baptized at Epiphany Catholic Church in Georgetown. Jean was preceded in death by two brothers (Wayne and Ronald), and one nephew (Steve).
Jean dedicated her life to her family and friends. She was easy going, enjoyed family and friends and endured her sickness nobly. She enjoyed listening to music and dancing; talk about somebody that could dance and imitate people, Jean was the person. She loved celebrating family birthdays, family gatherings, visiting with family, friends, and even to the end she especially enjoyed calling family and friends to ask how they were doing. Everyone was a nice person to her even strangers. Jean was such a fun loving, outgoing, kindhearted person. To know her was to love her.
Jean leaves to cherish her memory, her loving son, Todd, daughter-in- law Nicole, two beautiful grandsons Todd Jr. and Miles; three brothers, Henry, Maurice and Tyrone, and sister Marguerite, sister-in-law Pat Carroll; beloved niece, Lovey and great niece Treasure and cousins Jewel, Sweetie, and Darlene; in addition to many nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
