

Jeffrey Benjamin Tobin, of Temple Hills, Maryland; departed this life on May 15, 2026. He was born on September 4, 1937, in Neeses, South Carolina to Boyd Tobin and Liler Mae Jackson Tobin, both of whom have preceded him in death.
Jeffrey was joined in Holy matrimony to Vashti Battle Tobin in 1977; they shared many loving years together, until she preceded him in death. Jeffrey was a devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend, whose love for family was evident.
Jeffrey Benjamin Tobin was educated in the Aiken County Public School District school system at A.L. Corbett School. He worked faithfully in construction and food service hospitality for many years. He especially loved teaching the younger generations about his upbringing in South Carolina. He could vividly remember every road, town, and landmark, always sharing stories that brought laughter, wisdom, and cherished memories to those around him. He enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams.
He is survived by three sisters: Gertrue Handy of Stone Mountain, Georgia; Randa Kenner Tobin, of Wagener, South Carolina; and Shirley Ann Millhouse of Wagener, South Carolina; and four brothers Rudolf Tobin of Washington, DC; Earl (Luemisher) Tobin of Wagener, South Carolina; Melvin Loman Tobin of Little Rock, Arkansas; and Harvey (Juanita) Isaac, of Marietta, Georgia; preceded in death by his youngest brother, Vincent Richard Tobin of Wagener, South Carolina. Rest in Peace.
Jeffrey leaves to cherish his memories three sons: Benjamin Jeffrey Tobin Jr. of Bryceville, Florida; Frankie Dwayne Bunn Sr. of Washington, DC; and Lewis Cortez Vaughn of Temple Hills, Maryland; one daughter Anita Tobin of Washington, DC; twelve grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Jeffrey’s loving spirit, storytelling, wisdom, and dedication to family will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
