Jerrilyn S Foster

Jerrilyn Foster entered into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Friday, October 2, 2020. Jerrilyn was born on February 26, 1949 to the late Wilbert Foster and Thelma Foster. Jerrilyn was the oldest of two children.

Jerrilyn was a member of Isle of Patmos Baptist Church where she attended for over 5 years.

Jerrilyn was educated in the District of Columbia Public school system and graduated from McKinley High School and from there went on to attend and graduate from Cortez Peters Business School in September 1969.

After attending Cortez Peters Business School, Jerrilyn began working for the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development March 16, 1970-July 10, 1970. On September 8, 1970 Jerrilyn pursued a job with Government Printing Office where she later retired on January 3, 2006.

Jerrilyn was a kindhearted soul who always had time to lend a helping hand regardless of who you were or the situation at hand. Jerrilyn was a people person with an amusing sense of humor and relished the opportunity for an adventure. Some of Jerrilyn’s favorite things to do were roller skating, hand dancing and soft ball. She was a sports fanatic and never missed the opportunity to attend a Washington Football Team game.

Jerrilyn leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Linda Wade (Husband: Izell Wade), nephew Antione Foster (Wife: Shonna Foster), Brother Lloyd Hodge. She also leaves to cherish her memory, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends and close friends Sheila Johnson, Elsie Spivey, Rose Taylor and Lawrence McCoy.
