

John M. Tuah Jr, 46 of NW – Washington, DC is deceased. John Jr. was born on April 3, 1974. He was the firstborn son of the late John Mongrue Tuah Sr. of Monrovia, Liberia (Nimba County), West Africa, and the late Daphne Olga Davisiyas Tuah of Montego Bay (St. Elizabeth Parrish), Jamaica, West Indies.
John attended Sacred Heart Elementary School from Kindergarten through the 8th grade. He then attended for the first two years, St. Johns Military High School and spent his last two years at Archbishop Carroll High School where he graduated. John went on to Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland where he received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 1997. He then received a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2005. John also had a State of Maryland Advanced Professional Teaching Certificate.
John started as a Volunteer Teaching Assistant at Americore in Baltimore, MD. John’s teaching experience was mainly in grades K to 5 and taught Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies. He worked mainly for the Baltimore City Public School System at schools: Charles Carroll Barrister School #34 (3rd - 5th), George Washington Elementary School #22 (4th & 5th) & Gilmor Elementary School #107 (4th), along with being a substitute teacher for ConneXions Academy (6th to 12th) and Fort Washington Forest Elementary School (1st grade) in Prince Georges County, MD.
John was a dedicated, resourceful, and goal-driven professional educator with solid experience and commitment to the social and academic growth and development of every student. He had the ability to remain flexible, ensuring that every child’s learning style and abilities were addressed. He developed hands-on lessons that inspired and captured the children’s imagination in order to ensure success.
John Tuah Jr. is survived by his 4 children: Marcus John Tuah (Tersheia Sheely, Mother), Cole, Logan, and Noah Tuah (Stacy Holland, Mother). Sister, Maria Tuah Roxbury (Brother Craig Roxbury) and Brother, Anthony Tuah. Aunts: Julia Tuah Hinton, Yvonne, and Manpoe Tuah. Uncle: John R. Wollory. Cousins: Sabrina Relayo, Myris Hall Johnson, Raymond, Roy, Julian, and Elecia Hall (Carmen Hall, Mother) and many other lovely Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, in-laws, and close friends. He will be sincerely missed.
