Margaret Agnes Miller

AUGUST 8, 1956 - JANUARY 31, 2023

Margaret Agnes Miller, passed away at Georgetown University Hospital on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, after a courageous battle with illness.

Born August 8, 1956, at DC General Hospital in Washington, DC, Margaret was the youngest daughter of the late Leslie and Maude Young. She was raised in Washington DC and attended DC Public Schools. Margaret was a life-long resident of The District and was employed as a nursing assistant with Grant Park Care Center and DC General Hospital. In the mid 1980’s Margaret met and married George Miller.

Margaret loved playing cards, cooking/baking, visiting the Casino, shopping, and cheering on her beloved Washington Redskins. Margaret’s favorite pastimes were spending time with her family, eating crab legs, and enjoying a slice of carrot cake.

Margaret was preceded in death by her older brothers Leslie R. Young, Johnnie Young, and Doane Young. Margaret leaves to cherish her memory: brothers, Charles Young, Sr. (Marie) and Reginald Young (Juanita); sister Loretta Kelly; children Robert Young (LaShundra) and Ebony Miller-Young; grandson Leslie A. Young; and many other nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
