She was born July 15, 1942 to Edward Ogle and Marie Myers in Baltimore City, lived in Dundalk, and later was a longtime resident of Pasadena.
She is survived by her children Tina Johns and David Johns (Josclyn), sisters Patricia Pittas and Debbie Grau, and nieces and nephews. She is a widow of Charles Johns.
She loved animals. During her life she took in many animals and helped feral cats. She loved reading, dollhouses, westerns, music, dancing, gardening, and train gardens. As a teen she loved The Buddy Deane Show, the Baltimore version of American Bandstand, and going to teen dances. Dancing with family at wedding receptions was one of her favorite things. In her earlier life she sewed and crocheted many beautiful things. She loved Italian food and was famous for her ziti with Italian sausage and homemade sauce.
She took belly dancing and aerobics classes when she was younger. Prior to Alzheimer’s she remembered local history in Baltimore and would have been an excellent tour guide of Old Baltimore. She remembered going to the first library in Dundalk which is now the Dundalk Historical Society. During the holidays she loved going to train gardens at Wise Avenue Fire Department and Dundalk Historical Society. When Riviera Beach Fire Department had a holiday train garden she loved going.
She retired from Mars Grocery Store and previously worked in other grocery stores. Prior to having children she worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital and for an insurance company. She was a homemaker and stay at home mom for a long time then later worked part time jobs starting out doing house cleaning so she could be home with her children after school.
There will be a memorial service at a later date.
