Marie Ena Williams born Marie Enalia Jean-Pierre was called home to our Lord on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023. Born June 18, 1940 in Blòkòs, Haiti to the late Isabelle and Delsira Jean-Pierre, Ena (to all who knew her) was a unique and caring person who touched the lives of everyone around her.
She immigrated to the United States in the late sixties and raised three children. She was incredibly dedicated to them and very much involved in all aspects of their lives. A seamstress by profession, she was a hard-working, loving, caring and devoted Mother and Grandmother. She believed in living for and providing a better life for her children and grandchildren. She loved to travel, especially on cruises. Her favorite times in life occurred when she was able to cook for her children and grandchildren and watch them enjoy her amazing cooking.
Ena was preceded in death by her parents Delsira and Isabelle Jean-Pierre, and her departed siblings Silvia, Adrienne, Goualberg, Marie Ermelia, and Jeanne. She is survived by her sister Marie Lise Toussaint and her brother Fédéra Jean-Pierre.
To cherish her memory, she left behind her son Gerald Jean-Pierre and his wife, Joconde Gaubert, her son Philip Jean-Pierre, her daughter Isabel Myers and her husband Richard Dean Myers, II. She also leaves behind the adored “loves” of her life: her granddaughters Chloé Jean-Pierre (daughter of Gérald Jean-Pierre and Joconde Gaubert), Safiya Isabel and Sarolena Richelle Myers (daughters of Isabel and Richard Myers). She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews, Carol, Patrick, Maude, Marie Michelle, Margaret, Shiller, Michel, Séramise, Jeanty, Joseph, the reverend Père Toussaint and our sœurs de baptême Yvette, Mireille, and many cousins.
Ena will be truly missed as her life not only touched and improved the lives of her family but of also friends. May she rest in peace and power.

It is awake, wide awake.
It never sleeps nor dreams, but watches…”
