Mom, Grandmom, Great Grandmom, Friend, Companion; however you may have referred to this wonderful woman as she touched your life while physically with us all here on this earth; Olivia will most certainly be remembered for her remarkable impact on our lives in so many profound ways that only each one of us knows in our own heart.
In the beginning…. Olivia was first born in Metapan, Santa Ana El Salvador on a small farm. As the oldest out of seven she was responsible for the care of her siblings, helping her parents on the farm, selling the family produce until she decided to leave home as a young lady to begin a life of her own…. Early in life, Olivia learned to overcome adversity however she never allowed it to affect her outlook on life and what she would later become. Quite the opposite of what often happens to those faced with such challenges at a very young age. Olivia with daughter Ana Gladis became two incredibly savvy professional businesswomen in partnership together as the founders of a successful textile factory that provided a comfortable life for a large, loving family.
Many years later as a civil war began in El Salvador Olivia acted quickly while leaving everything behind that she built for the sake of her children and family she loved more than anything in the world to ensure their safety as well as an opportunity at a better life especially after the loss of her oldest son Noel to the war. While successfully finding a way to bring her family to the United States she faced many significant obstacles however, her persistence never wavered once.
Olivia was a woman of deep faith, courage, strength, resilience and persistence that began the day she was born that now lasts forever within us as a strong, loving, cheerful uplifting soul. Olivia will always carry the great honor of being the true matriarch of the family and our guiding light as we move forward while carrying her with us always. Now that Olivia is in the presence of God as an Angel above watching over all of us while residing warmly within our hearts, minds and souls forever; empowering us to be just like her and never give up no matter what you may face in life.
Always remember Olivia from this day forward…. Anytime you see a flower, particularly a beautiful rose; one of her most favorite things in this world that always made her so very happy, please take a moment to reflect on how she touched your heart and soul with her love as her own child, grandchild, great grandchild, family or very close friend. Take time to stop and smell the roses as Olivia always did while living a very full life that we celebrate today and forever.
