Rhonda Lee Morrison was born on July 30, 1954, in Washington, DC, to the late Bennett and Francis Morrison. On Monday, March 2, 2026, Rhonda peacefully gained her wings while surrounded by the love of her family.
Rhonda received her education in the District of Columbia Public Schools and proudly graduated from McKinley Technology High School in 1972. Shortly after graduation, she began building a career defined by dedication, determination, and a strong sense of responsibility. Rhonda believed in working hard and took pride in everything she did, marked with strong values that remained evident throughout her life.
Shortly after graduating high school, Rhonda married Horace Frazier, and from this union four children were born. Family was the center of Rhonda’s life and her greatest joy. She was a devoted mother not only to her own children but also to many of their friends, who lovingly knew her as “Momma Frazier.” Her home was always open, and her heart was even bigger. Anyone who entered her life knew they would be welcomed with warmth, wisdom, and love. Rhonda cherished spending time with her family and friends, especially on weekends watching the Commanders, playing games, and enjoying crabs. She believed the more, the merrier, and made sure everyone felt included, fed, and at home.
Her professional journey began at Marlo Furniture in downtown Washington, DC. From there, Rhonda continued to grow and expand her skills across several industries. Over the years she worked in accounting and banking, where she was known for her attention to detail, reliability, and strong organizational abilities. She later served at Nielsen as a Quality Assurance Specialist, where she also retired. There she used her keen eye for accuracy and commitment to help improve systems and processes.
While maintaining full-time employment, Rhonda also embraced her natural entrepreneurial spirit. She successfully operated her own Loss Mitigation and Collections business for many years, helping individuals and organizations navigate financial challenges. In addition, she launched several home-based businesses, always looking for new ways to grow, learn, and create opportunities for herself and her family.
In 2025, Rhonda joined Travorium, where she combined her business mindset with her love for travel. She looked forward to exploring new places, connecting with people, and building her own travel business. Rhonda was excited about the possibilities that lay ahead and was eager to continue expanding her entrepreneurial journey.
Rhonda carried her nurturing spirit into the workplace. No matter where she worked, Rhonda built lasting relationships and earned the respect of her coworkers and supervisors alike. She was affectionately known as the “work mom,” always offering encouragement, guidance, and kindness to her coworkers. Her generous and compassionate nature left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.
Rhonda was a proud and faithful member of Community of Hope AME Church, where she found joy in fellowship and faith. She knew the Lord was her strength and always welcomed and believed in the power of prayer.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, Bennett and Francis Morrison; her sister, Robinette Ross; her cousin, Andrew Jefferson; her brothers-in-law, Alphonso Lynn and Nathaniel Ross; and her beloved grandchild, Aaron Frazier.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her loving children, Marcel Lamont Frazier, Sr. (Camelieta), Sharnise Lavette Frazier, Darcelle LaShaun Frazier, and Sharnelle Latisha Lashley (Lawrence); four grandchildren, Marcel Frazier, Jr., Dyamond Frazier, Neko Lashley, and Najae Lashley; and one sister Janice Lynn. She also leaves a host of extended family, friends, three great grand-dogs, and loved ones who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
