Robbie Johnson was born April 30, 1962, to the late Mary Bell and John Johnson Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Rob as he liked to be addressed was the eldest of six children and will be remembered as a kind and very respectful man.
Mr. Rob was educated in the Cleveland, Ohio public school system and graduated from John Marshall High School. Later he went on to join the U.S. Army. After serving, he was honorably discharged and relocated to Maryland with his son Robbie Brian and family. Rob was employed at Andrews Air Force Base for 31 years until he became ill.
Mr. Rob was supportive of all of our hopes and dreams. He was a music lover, and especially enjoyed jazz. In his pastime, he loved to watch old westerns, The Andy Griffin Show and James Bond. Rob was a diehard Giants fan. Although Rob was from Cleveland, he loved the New York teams — too funny.
Mr. Rob was a true family man. He loved his entire family. His parents, his wife’s parents, his children, bonus children (all), siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends. Rob loved to talk to family, co-workers, neighbors and friends. His favorite topic was FOOD. Rob loved cooking and eating spaghetti. It was his most enjoyable meal. He could really cook. He cooked the entire Thanksgiving meal with all of the fixings.
Rob was a terrific parent and spoiled his daughter Kelsey rotten. She is truly a Daddy’s Girl. He spoiled his father-in-law with breakfast sandwiches and meals no one else could top. Mr. Rob will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his daughter Tonomi. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Deborah Johnson; children Brenda, Brian, Tyrone and Kelsey; grandchildren Donte, Keyshawn and Lettice; siblings Evelyn, Earl, Sarah and Cathy, Clifton who preceded him in death; nephew Quinton whom he loved; and best friend Cyril Luster. May you rest in peace KING.
