Shawntae Nixon

Shawntae spent the first three years of her life at The Hospital For Sick Children in NE Washington, DC In 1997 she came to live with her maternal grandmother, Patricia Waldron in Greenbelt, MD. Shawntae attended Frances Fuch and Margaret Brent School in New Carrollton, MD where she earned a high school certificate in 2015. She had many happy days during her school years. Shawntae enjoyed traveling with her grandmother, esp. to family gatherings. Also she liked riding the school bus, music and having someone talk and read to her.

With thanks to nursing care, God allowed Shawntae to survive her twenty-six years. Some of her main nurses, (Ms.) Buki, Benga, Florence, Ida, Mercy, Rachel, Moji, Enny, Toyin, Tina, Juliet, Virginia, and Starr were like family. Shawntae moved to 2nd Family Group Home in 2016. Due to illness in 2017 she located to Cadia Health Care.
