Tawana Cherise Tucker

Praise God! From labor to reward, Tawana Cherise Tucker now resides forevermore in her eternal Heavenly Home! Her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ welcomed her to her eternal Home on Monday, August 1, 2022. Tawana Cherise Tucker was born on January 20, 1970. She was the first daughter of Nathaniel Tucker and Brenda Joyce Tucker ("BJ"). Tawana graduated from Bladensburg High School in Prince George's County, MD in June 1990.

Preceding family members who transitioned to their eternal Home are her mother, Brenda Joyce Tucker, her grandmother, Ida Ruth Matthews and her maternal aunt, Ruth Matthews Henry. Tawana is survived by her father, Nathaniel Tucker; her son James Riggs Jr. ; two brothers, Donnell Tucker and Brian Brown; Sister, Angela Tucker; One sister in-law Tatiana Tucker ; two nieces, Renee Penn and Robyn Penn; three nephews, Dontrell Long, Jason and Dallas Tucker; a host of family and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Jessica Long, Fran Campbell, Edward Tucker, and Phyllis Brown for the constant love and support shown throughout this difficult time.

Tawana Cherise Tucker will truly be missed by all who knew her. Her beautiful smile, her infectious laughter and her vibrant and vivacious personality were her unique qualities that made her special beyond compare. She was loving, kind, generous, understanding, full of life and full of laughter. Her joy was evident by all who knew her and by all who loved and adored her. Her quiet and stoic spiritual faith maintained her and sustained her throughout her personal trials. She loved The Lord. She believed in The Lord. She worshiped The Lord and her reliance and resilience was predicated on The Lord. The incredible and indelible Tawana Cherise Tucker graced us with her presence for 52 years and she will never be forgotten. Tawana Cherise Tucker will forever remain in our heart.
