Terrence was born in Washington, DC at Washington Hospital Center, on December 13, 1974. He graduated from Bladensburg High School in June 1992 with a concentration in Drafting. Terrence better known as “T” decided he wanted to jump right into “adulthood” and began working straight out of High School for the US Postal Service. He later followed in his mother’s footsteps and in 1995/1996, he relocated to Greensboro, NC and began his career in Security.
Terrence has dedicated the last 20 plus years in Security and at the height of his career he rose to the level of a Security Team Manager, at SAIC. His team called him “Braxton”. They say, “he stood strong at the head of his team, he showed kindness, he was compassionate, had a contagious sense of humor, and he was a tremendous example of how everyone should treat others”. He was loved and very well respected.
T’s biggest love was that of his family, especially his nieces, nephew, and his godson. He loved them as they were his own and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for any of them. They all had their own unique bond with him and no matter what he had their backs. He also loved all types of music, especially hard rock, old classic movies, and of course “HOW BOUT THE COWBOYS”! Although T was the baby brother he often played the role as the oldest brother,
oldest sibling and best friend.
T leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Robert and Brenda Braxton; sisters, Andrea
Williams (Roderick) and Kieco “Tish” Smith; brother, Robert Johnson; grandmother, Shirley
Braxton; nieces, Tae’lor and Sydnye Williams, Zoe Johnson, nephews, DJ Johnson, Kurt Gray
Jr., Kyrin Rich; godson, Noah Scott, hosts of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and all of those
who knew and loved him.
