Tevon Donald Ramos, the youngest of twin boys, entered this world on September 12, 1995, in Queens, New York. From the very beginning, Tevon’s bright smile and gentle spirit filled every room he entered with light.
He began his education in the New York City Public School System before relocating with family to Washington, D.C., in 2008. There, Tevon’s natural brilliance shone. At LaSalle-Backus Education Campus, he graduated in 2009 as valedictorian of his 8th-grade class. He continued to excel at Bell Multicultural High School, earning 15 college credits before his 2013 graduation — a reflection of his discipline and love of learning. His academic excellence earned him a scholarship to Johnson & Wales University–Charlotte, where he continued to grow, explore, and discover his many gifts. Later, Tevon achieved a certification in Information Technology, demonstrating his determination to master whatever he set his mind to.
Yet, beyond his achievements, Tevon’s heart belonged to the arts. Music was his language, his peace, his way of touching souls. Under the stage name “The Shinobi of Chernobyl (TSOC),” he poured his thoughts, feelings, and dreams into his music — writing, producing, and performing with passion and authenticity. Tevon also loved cooking, creating with the same care and imagination that defined everything he did.
Those who knew Tevon will never forget his kindness, his laughter, and his creative spirit. He had a quiet strength, a thoughtful mind, and a heart that saw beauty in the world around him.
Tevon leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother Margaret Ramos of Queens, NY; his adoptive parents Ronald Ramos and Dwannal McGahee of Washington, D.C.; his brothers Charles Ramos (Wharton, NJ), Lamar Ramos-Peterson (District Heights, MD), and his twin brother Tevin Ramos (Washington, D.C.).
He is also survived by his great-aunt Vivian Owens-Trott; aunts Jeanette (Jeffrey), Irene (Jerome), Patricia, Vivian, Karen, Kamesha, and Michelle; uncles Manuel, Steven, Frank, and Joseph; his godmother Parrese; Adopted grandmother Lorraine; his best friends Ryan, Rasheed, and Sharve’; his nephew Charles Jr.; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
Tevon’s light — bright, creative, and full of promise — will never fade. It will live on in every lyric he wrote, every melody he created, and every life he touched with his warmth and love.
Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will forever dance among the stars, reminding us that love, art, and memory never truly die.
