

He married Linda Aikman on October 8, 1955 and they resided in Omaha, NE. He was an active member of Plumbers Local 16 of Omaha for almost 54 years, working at Natkin and Co. for most of his career. He was also an avid baseball fan, especially the Chicago Cubs and the Kansas City Royals. Fred was a strong, passionate man with definite opinions about most subjects. He never met a stranger and could tell a story that would keep you in stitches.
Fred is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Candy and Frank Lussetto of Broadwater, NE and Sandy and Brian Cox of Cedar Park, TX, and son and daughter-in law, Randy and Jean Horning of Longmont, CO. Gramps was adored by his (8) grandchildren, their spouses, and his (7) great-grandchildren, Chad and Kyla Horning, Amy and Jeff Daneff, Cody Horning, Kate, Chase, and Emma L’Heureux, Chelsea, Colin, Graham and Harper Rickman, Patrick, Katie, Isaac, Eli, and Macy Lussetto, Corey Cox, and Cami Cox. He is also survived by his special friend, Shirley Colson, and brother, Gary Horning.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Linda Horning, and brother, Dean Horning.
A memorial service will be held at Mt. View Presbyterian Church in Omaha, NE on March 24, 2018 at 11AM. Memorials can be made to either Mt. View Presbyterian Church or Plumbers Local Union 16.
