He was born to Jesse and Malvory (Zobel) in Alliance, NE. He grew up on the Watson Ranch on Angora Hill. In his younger years he spent time as a saddle bronc rider. He later married Azalia Ann Skinner on November 1, 1961, and five years later made their family complete with the adoption of their daughter Starla Marie.
He spent many years working in feedlots. He was very proud of his family, loved playing cards, watching baseball, PBR, and western movies, and playing pitch. His quick whit and humor will not be forgotten. He loved to joke and laugh, and no doubt made any bad situation lighter.
Those left to continue the journey include his daughter Starla (Fred) Snider of Oshkosh NE, granddaughter Jessica Rae (Robert) Watters of Belmont MI, brother Bill (Connie) Watson of Alliance NE, sisters Malvory (Jim) Shankland of Hyannis, Mary Ann Blackstone of Bayard NE, Betty (Lyle) Grant of Alliance, two great-grandsons Logan and Landon Ray Watters, and many nieces and nephews.
Those who will be welcoming him above include his parents, brothers George, Dan, and Jack, sisters Bonnie, Alice, and Ilene.
