Nevada Geraldine ""Gerry Blue

Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at Church of Christ in Bridgeport with Pastor Jonathan Seng officiating. Inurnment will follow at Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery. There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. Memorials can be made to the Bridgeport Public Library. Nevada (Gerry) was born November 11, 1927 at Broadwater, Nebraska to Clyde and Inis (Sutton) Coker. She received her education in Broadwater, Bridgeport and California. She received her GED from Bridgeport in 1971. She married Milford (Milky) Blue in Hastings, NE on April 15, 1946. To this union six children were born. She was a stay at home Mom for many years. She worked at the Sioux Ordinance Depot in Sidney. After her husband passed away, she worked at Bert’s 5 & 10 store, Gerry Industries and then at the Nursing Home in Bridgeport. She retired in 2003.

She was active in the VFW Auxiliary, Girl Scouts and later in the Eagles Auxiliary. She spent many Friday and Sunday nights cooking hamburgers at the Eagles. Her greatest treasure was having grandchildren and great grandchildren over for cookies and milk.

She is survived by her sons Arthur Blue of Bridgeport, Clyde (Joan) Blue of Scottsbluff, Terry Blue of Leesville, SC and Mike (Jan) Blue of Scottsbluff; daughters Colleen Blue of Bridgeport and Lynn (Doug) Hulinsky of Bayard; grandchildren Sharon (Brett) Schluterbusch, Anthony (Nicole) Sacco, Theresa (Pam) Blue, Andrea (Vince) DelCoglin, Chris Blue, Andy Blue, Amanda (Will) Spencer, Jamey (Amy) Hunsucker, Jared Matthews (Jessica Coleman), Tiffany (John) Lee, Richard (Anna) Blue, Toni (Nate) Rice, Terri (Brandon) Stuart and Skylar Blue and 21 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Milky, her parents and her nine siblings.
