Wilma Jean Morton

Wilma Jean Morton, 76, died Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Skyview at Bridgeport. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 2:15 PM on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Skyview at Bridgeport Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Seng officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery at Bridgeport. Bridgeport Memorial Chapel is assisting with the arrangements. Wilma was born December 26, 1939 at Denver, Colorado to Dale Arthur and Eloise (Lantz) Morton. The family moved from Denver when Wilma was very young. The family lived on a dairy farm east of Bridgeport and Wilma attended school at Northport. Wilma moved to Scottsbluff with her mother after the death of her father where she lived until moving to Heritage of Bridgeport (now Skyview at Bridgeport) in 2006.

Wilma enjoyed family gatherings, going to Lake McConaughy where the family spent a lot of time at their summer home, and she enjoyed fishing, her stuffed animals, and dolls.

Wilma is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Wanda and Harvey Mueller of Scottsbluff; four nephews, one niece, and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents and nephew Rick Mueller.
