David Lee Nelson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Lee Nelson, beloved father, husband, grandfather, and craftsman, who left us on 1/23/2026 at the age of 88, surrounded by his family.

Born on 3/25/1937 in Seattle to Oscar and Astrid Nelson. David learned the value of hard work early in life. He built our family homes and had a long career as a skilled drywaller. He believed that if you are going to do a job, you must do it right the first time.

Beyond his career, David was a dedicated family man. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sharyl Nelson ; his children, Lisa Trout and Diana Nelson; and his grandchild, Victoria Ladenburg, who were his pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his brothers Roy, John and Bob Nelson.
