Betty Ann Shubert passed away at the age of 83, after bravely facing complications from Alzheimer's disease. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and adventure that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Born on September 9, 1941, and raised on a farm in Roseland, MN, Betty married the love of her life, Wayne Shubert, on September 25, 1959. Together, they built a family bound by joy and devotion, living in Minneapolis, Green Bay, Merton, WI, Camanche, IA, and eventually returning to the Milwaukee area.
Betty is survived by her husband Wayne; her children Chris (Kathleen), Renae (David), and Pamela (Paul); her grandchildren Nicholas, Danielle, Natalie, Marissa, Evan, and Jared; and her great-grandsons Nick and Jacob. She is also remembered fondly by her brother Ronald (Janice), sister Lavonne Negan, and countless other loved ones. She joins her parents Ralph and Edith Damhof and her baby Curtiss in peaceful rest.
An artist at heart, Betty brought beauty into the world through stained glass stepping stones and heartfelt greeting cards, especially in her later years. Her passion for arts and crafts was matched only by her adventurous spirit—she explored the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, gathering cherished memories and stories along the way. She also found joy in wintering in Arizona, embracing the warmth and beauty of the desert.
Betty’s creativity and gentle strength will be deeply missed. Her legacy is stitched into each smile she inspired and each heart she held close.
